This article walks through the day-to-day screens you use to work with Unify processes — creating one, running it, reading its results, and monitoring runs. For the detailed settings available when configuring a process or a merge calculation, see Set up Unify processes and rules and Set up Unify merge calculation (Advanced).
Finding your way around
There isn't a single "console home screen" — from the App Launcher, open the DQE One app, which gives you these tabs you'll use day to day:
- DQE Process — create, open and run your processes.
- DQE Mapping — create field mappings used by your processes.
- Run — the history and live status of every run.
- Rules Manager — manage the Matching, Parent Records and Merge rule sets used by your processes; it isn't included in the app's tab bar by default, so open it from the App Launcher if you don't see it. See Set up Unify processes and rules for how to configure rule sets.
Viewing a process and its results
Open the DQE Process tab and click a process to open it. After it has run at least once, you'll see one tab per check it covers — Duplicate Check, Name Check, Address Check, Phone Check, Email Check, B2B Check, Multi-source Duplicate Check or Data Prep Audit, depending on what the process is set up to do. Each tab is a list view of the records that check flagged.
To launch the process, click Run and confirm. You'll see its progress reflected in the Run tab (see below).
Creating a process, a data source and a filter
Open the DQE Process tab and click New — this takes you directly into the process creation screen, which also lets you pick or add the data source and attach a filter as part of the same screen. There is no separate "Filters" tab: filters are always created from within process creation or editing. Editing an existing process reuses this same screen.
Creating a field mapping
Open the DQE Mapping tab and click New.
Relocating phone numbers after a run
After a Phone Check run, the process view offers a Relocate Phone Numbers utility for cleaning up phone data that landed in the wrong field. For each phone field the run processed, grouped by record type, you'll see:
- Field Processed — the phone field this row covers.
- Is a Mobile — a toggle to flag this field's values as mobile numbers.
- Select target field — a dropdown listing the record type's other phone fields, to move matching values into.
Use this when, for example, mobile numbers have ended up in a generic "Phone" field instead of "Mobile": flag the field as mobile, pick the real mobile field as the target, and the matching values are relocated.
Monitoring runs
Open the Run tab to see the history of every run, with its Status (Started, Reading, Writing, Creating DQE Fields, Creating Server, In Progress, Finished, Failed, Killed), the run date, the number of records processed, duplicates found, and — if a run failed — the error message. There is no separate "all processes at a glance" dashboard: this tab, sorted by run date, is the place to check on what's running or what went wrong.
