Preamble

The Responsible Digital Services Design Reference Guide (GR491), published by the Institut du Numérique Responsable (INR), provides a framework for all organizations wishing to commit to this topic and take action toward more responsible digital practices, based on the following three pillars:

  • People: Reducing the digital divide and improving living conditions through digital technologies
  • Planet: Reducing the environmental footprint of digital technologies
  • Prosperity: Digital technology, as a driver of growth, must represent an opportunity for everyone

The GR491 consists of 61 recommendations and 516 criteria, organized into 8 project “families.” This framework addresses digital challenges and is designed to enable every stakeholder involved in a project to adopt a continuous improvement approach, assess their practices, and implement concrete recommendations throughout all phases of digital service design.

DQE Groupe aims to integrate responsible design into needs assessment and usage analysis, and to apply responsible design principles during the definition and implementation of its data quality solutions, as recommended by the INR’s Responsible Digital label.

To this end, the company provides its teams (production, R&D, projects, and support) with access to the Responsible Digital Services Design Reference Guide (GR491) from INR through this summary document.

This document refers to the 61 recommendations and 516 criteria distributed across the 8 project “families” defined in the GR491.

Architecture

Architecture defines all types of shared technical service components that sit between application components and hardware components to manage physical resources. This includes local technical resource management components (OS, DBMS, etc.), communication management components, and distributed resource management components. It also defines the different types of hardware components on which an information system relies, such as servers, workstations, terminals, and networks.
