Some Capency services require access to be restricted to approved public IP addresses. If your organization needs to authorize a new access point, submit an IP whitelisting request to DQE Support.
When to request IP whitelisting
You should request IP whitelisting when your organization needs to access a Capency service from a new network, server, office, store, or infrastructure environment.
Typical cases include:
- opening access for a new production environment;
- adding a new office, store, or data center;
- changing network provider or outbound public IP addresses;
- preparing a migration to a new infrastructure;
- restoring access after an IP address change.
How to submit the request
Create a support ticket and clearly indicate that you are requesting IP whitelisting for Capency services.
Information to include in your ticket
To avoid delays, include the following information in your request:
- your organization name;
- the Capency service concerned;
- the public IP address or IP range to whitelist;
- the environment concerned, such as production, staging, or test;
- the expected activation date;
- the business reason for the request;
- the requester’s contact email address.
Processing time
IP whitelisting requests for Capency services are usually processed within 1 to 5 business days after the required information has been provided.
Before submitting your request
Make sure the IP address provided is the public outbound IP address used by your systems to reach Capency services. Private or internal IP addresses cannot be used for external whitelisting.
Common causes of delay
- the IP address provided is private or incomplete;
- the request does not specify the Capency service concerned;
- the environment is not clearly identified;
- the requester does not provide enough context to validate the change;
- the requested activation date is missing.
