The DQE One package for Salesforce ships with two permission sets to assign to your users depending on their role.
Two permission sets, for two types of users
- DQE One User: basic access for users who view real-time data quality and duplicate indicators.
- DQE One Admin: full access to configure the app, launch processes, and manage the DQE Unify console.
Which permission for which use case?
| I want to… | What I need |
|---|---|
| Install the package | The "Download AppExchange Packages" user permission (enabled by default on the System Administrator profile, but can also be enabled on a custom profile or granted via a permission set) |
| View real-time quality/duplicate indicators on Accounts, Contacts and Leads | DQE One User permission set |
| Run real-time verification checks | DQE One User permission set |
| View and use the DQE Unify console | DQE One Admin permission set |
| Configure the app (mappings, filters, processes) | DQE One Admin permission set |
| Launch processes (deduplication, merging, enrichment) | DQE One Admin permission set |
| Manually merge or unmerge duplicates | DQE One Admin permission set |
What each permission set unlocks
| Permission set | Grants access to… |
|---|---|
| DQE One User | Display of quality and duplicate indicators embedded on Account, Contact and Lead records. No configuration rights. |
| DQE One Admin | Full app configuration, the DQE Unify console, launching batch processes, and access to connection/license settings. Reserve this for actual administrators. |
Good to know
If your users are not on the "System Administrator" profile, assigning only the DQE One Admin permission set may not be enough to configure mappings or manually merge duplicates. Make sure their profile also grants Read/Create/Edit access to the custom objects used by DQE One (prefixed DQE_), in addition to the permission set.
