Why does the DQE One Installer stay stuck in Salesforce

The DQE One Installer can sometimes stay stuck during installation, even after retrying several times. This usually means the problem is not with the installation step itself, but with the Salesforce authorization the installer is using — something Retry alone cannot fix, since it only replays the same step without re-establishing that authorization.

Common symptoms

  • the installer stays on the loading screen indefinitely, even after clicking Retry;
  • retrying the same failed step repeatedly does not move past it;
  • the installer seems to loop between the same error and Retry;
  • the issue is not tied to a recent sandbox refresh or configuration change.

What to try first

  • Click Retry once or twice — this only helps if the failing step itself was a transient backend issue.
  • If retrying repeatedly does not get you past it, stop retrying and use Reset Installer instead (see below). It re-establishes the connection the installer needs without requiring you to uninstall and reinstall everything.

Using Reset Installer

Reset Installer re-authorizes the Salesforce connection the installer uses, without touching your existing named credentials, settings, or field mappings — it is not a reinstall.

  1. If the installer is stuck on the loading screen, click Cancel to stop it and refresh the page. This does not delete anything.
  2. Reopen the DQE One Installer app from the App Launcher so you land on its home screen (region selection plus Start Installation / Free Trial). If you land directly on an uninstall confirmation screen instead, you reached the installer through DQE One Setup on an already-installed org — reopen it from the App Launcher instead.
  3. Click the small bug icon in the corner of the Installer card, then select Reset Installer.
  4. You are taken back to the authorization step without having to re-enter your licence code. Accept Salesforce's permission screen again to re-establish the connection.
  5. The installer then resumes based on your actual installation status.

When to contact DQE Support

If the installer is still stuck after using Reset Installer, provide the Salesforce environment, the installation step where it is stuck, the exact error message if any, screenshots, and how many times you retried before it got stuck.
